Marriott International is pleased to announce the appointment of Henri Michel as General Manager of the Paris Marriott Champs-Elysées Hotel. The appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the landmark property, which has just completed a significant redesign led by award-winning London design studio Muza Lab, blending Parisian heritage with modern elegance throughout the hotel's guestrooms, suites, social spaces, and culinary venues.
Born in Leipzig, Germany, Michel began his hospitality career with a three-year hotel apprenticeship before holding key operational roles in London across Food & Beverage and Front Office. He joined Marriott International in 2000 and has since built a distinguished 25-year career spanning Sales, Marketing, Event Management, and General Management in Germany and France. He most recently served as General Manager of the Renaissance Paris Nobel Tour Eiffel Hotel and previously led the opening of the Courtyard by Marriott Paris Gare de Lyon. Michel is a graduate of ESSEC Business School, where he earned a Master's in International Operational Management.
