The Kimpton Pittman Hotel Appoints Paul Calvin as Director of Sales and Marketing

USA, Dallas, Texas. April 08, 2026

The Kimpton Pittman Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Calvin as Director of Sales and Marketing. Set at the intersection of Downtown Dallas and the Deep Ellum Cultural District, the 165-room hotel channels the energy that built the vibrant neighborhood, known for live music, outdoor art, and an independent spirit with roots tracing back to the 1870s. As one of the most historically rich and creatively-vital spots in the city, the hotel is a tribute to Deep Ellum's past and present. Paul's appointment reinforces the hotel's momentum in the meetings and corporate space, with a focus on strengthening local partnerships and delivering guest experiences that feel distinctly Deep Ellum.

Paul brings more than 15 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience across Dallas, Austin, and Chicago. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Graduate by Hilton Dallas, where he helped lead the hotel's opening and oversaw group, catering, consortia, and business transient sales. His recent background also includes senior sales leadership roles with Virgin Hotels Dallas and Canopy by Hilton Austin Downtown, along with broader experience across Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott and independent lifestyle brands.

At The Kimpton Pittman Hotel, Paul oversees all sales and marketing functions, including group sales, catering, corporate accounts, and overall market strategy, with an emphasis on account development, forecasting, and long-term booking pace.

"Deep Ellum is a destination defined by its energy and culture, and The Pittman sits at its very center," General Manager David Valencia said. "We are excited to welcome a leader who will champion local partners and connections that showcase the best of the neighborhood, ensuring every visit and group experience feels like a true extension of the Deep Ellum community."

"I've always believed that a hotel should be a mirror of its neighborhood, and nowhere is that more essential than in Deep Ellum," Paul said. "The area's independent spirit strongly resonates with today's traveler, and I want to make that culture accessible to everyone who walks through our doors, creating an extension of the neighborhood surrounding us."

The Kimpton Pittman Hotel offers more than 18,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including the restored Parker Ballroom. Amenities include Kimpton's popular complimentary evening social hour, pet-friendly programming, and complimentary PUBLIC bikes, all within walking distance of Deep Ellum's dining, live music venues, and public art.
