The Woodward, Auberge Collection, Welcomes Héctor Lugo as General Manager
The Woodward, Auberge Collection, Geneva's historic, three-MICHELIN Key lakeside property and the city's first all-suite hotel has announced the appointment of Héctor Lugo as General Manager. The property, owned and operated by luxury hospitality group The Bastion Collection, welcomes Lugo to oversee operations, guest experience and strategy, bringing two decades of luxury hospitality experience to this iconic address.
Prior to joining The Woodward, Lugo was a founding member of the Senior Leadership Team at Auberge Collection's Susurros del Corazón in Punta de Mita, Mexico. Here, he oversaw the property's celebrated 2022 launch and served as Resort Manager through 2025, where his tenure concluded with the property's two-MICHELIN Keys recognition.
Originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, Lugo is a decorated graduate of Les Roches School of Hotel Management. Preceding his arrival to Auberge Collection, Lugo spent over a decade with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group across properties in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Europe where he shaped F&B concepts as the Director of Food and Beverage at the Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona and then the Mandarin Oriental Ritz in Madrid. Lugo worked closely with the team to see the hotel restaurant Deessa's receipt of its first MICHELIN star. He will bring this experience to The Woodward, whose storied culinary outlets operated by The Bastion Collection - Le Jardinier, Bar 37 and Two-MICHELIN starred L'Atelier Robuchon - have earned the property its reputation as the preeminent gastronomic establishment in Geneva.
"We are delighted to welcome Héctor to The Woodward, Auberge Collection," shares Mo Elbanna, Executive Vice President of Global Operations, Auberge Collection. "Héctor's dedication to excellence in leadership and hospitality has been an enormous asset to the growth of Auberge Collection and he will be an exemplary guide for The Woodward in the hotel's next chapter."
"I am honored to join the decorated team at The Woodward, Auberge Collection, where I look forward to continuing to develop this renowned, elegant property's reputation as a best-in-class European sanctuary," adds Héctor Lugo, General Manager.
Positioned on the shore of Lake Geneva, The Woodward, Auberge Collection, is celebrated as Switzerland's most distinguished luxury hotel and a global epicurean destination. It is the only hotel in Geneva to hold both the prestigious three-MICHELIN Key distinction and host a two-MICHELIN star dining outlet. The property was welcomed into Auberge Collection last year, joining the collection's curated - and thoughtfully expanding - portfolio of 30 one-of-a-kind hotels and resorts worldwide.
