Dolce Appoints GM at Zermatt, Midway UT
MIDWAY, UT,, February 7, 2007. Zermatt Resort & Spa, a DOLCE Hotel, Resort & Conference destination, has hired Jan McCormick as General Manager.
McCormick joins Zermatt with 27 years of management experience at luxury hotels and resorts, most recently as the regional director of operations for Gemstone Resorts International. In this capacity he oversaw direction for four California hotels - the Hotel Mosaic in Beverly Hills, Forrest Suites Resort in South Lake Tahoe, Pala Mesa Golf Resort in Fallbrook, and Lake Arrowhead Resort in Lake Arrowhead.
His additional hotel management experience includes serving as the General Manager for the Resort at Squaw Creek (Calif.); the Vice President of Hotel Operations at Noble House Hotels and Resorts (Wash.); the General Manager of two Kimpton Hotel properties, the Hotel Allegro Chicago (Ill.) and Hotel Triton (Calif.); and Managing Director-General Manager of Santa Cruz Hotel Associates (Calif.).
McCormick attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash. He was certified as a hotel administrator in 1982. He has also been an active member of the Board of Directors of the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Directors for the Dream On Foundation, a charitable organization supporting seniors and those with disabilities or who are homeless.
