Winter Opening Planned for New AC Hotel Atlanta Airport Gateway Led by General Manager Jeff Fowler
AC Hotels by Marriott® announces today the newest addition to its Atlanta portfolio, AC Hotel Atlanta Airport Gateway, with plans to open this winter in the developing Gateway Center in College Park, Ga. Set just beside the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) and a few steps off of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's ATL SkyTrain, the new-build property provides unprecedented convenience and affordable luxury for both weekday and weekend Atlanta travelers alike.
AC Hotel Atlanta Airport Gateway is thoughtfully designed for today's entrepreneurial business travelers alongside vacation-goers and weekend warriors, minutes away from the busiest airport in the world, yet far enough for a welcomed escape. From the spacious lobby and AC Kitchen & Lounge to key amenities and a variety of room layouts, each AC property is developed with the traveler in mind and the goal of providing refreshment and rejuvenation.
The hotel will feature 222 guest rooms, including deluxe king and double queen rooms. Spacious floor plans, KORRES bath products and the trademark "Between the Woods" AC scent are complemented by everyday necessities: complimentary WiFi, a well-equipped fitness center and flexible meeting spaces. Begin the day with crispy croissants, fresh cured meats and a variety of European-inspired bites at the AC Kitchen. The centrally located AC Lounge is a bustling community gathering space by day and social haven by night, featuring handcrafted cocktails, such as the signature ACGT Gin and Tonic, delicious tapas and desserts.
"AC is all about removing the friction of travel and offering a seamless experience for guests," says Jeff Fowler, General Manager of AC Hotel Atlanta Airport Gateway. "Considering our proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson, it's an ideal match. We also truly value our local partnerships, and we're excited to be a part of the continued development of the Gateway community and ATL Airport District. It's evident it's establishing itself as more than a pass-through destination."
AC Atlanta Airport Gateway will arrive soon after the opening of Gateway Center Arena, home of the College Park Skyhawks, the Atlanta Hawks G-League affiliate, and host to additional sporting events, concerts, shows, convocations and more - entertaining more than simply the business traveler, just down the street. Airport travelers eliminate the need for rental transportation or rideshare with SkyTrain access, while guests arriving from drive markets have both an entertainment and hospitality destination in one.
