Weitz Starts Breakers Room Renovation
SEPTEMBER 7, 2007. The Weitz Company recently announced that it is has begun construction on a major room renovation taking place at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida.
The modernization, which is being built under a fast track deliver, will include the renovation of 125 rooms within the resort's northwest wing. The refurbished space will also feature new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems as well as new impact windows. All work is taking place while the hotel remains in full operation.
Prior to beginning work, Weitz worked closely with the owner and their designers, Peacock + Lewis and Kemble Interiors, during the early planning phases to assure that all budget, schedule and quality expectations were met. The Weitz Company's relationship with The Breakers Hotel dates back nearly 15 years and includes nearly $145 million of completed projects.
