IHCL Expands Presence in Sri Lanka With Signing of a Taj Hotel in Weligama
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL),India's largest hospitality company, announced the signing of a Taj hotel in Weligama, Sri Lanka. The greenfield project will feature 220 keys including 80 luxury apartments.

Located in the Southern Province of the country, the 220‑key Taj Weligama is a beachfront resort with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean. Guests can enjoy dining at the all‑day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants, beach bar and grill, bar and lounge, or deli. The resort features Taj's iconic J Wellness Circle offering holistic remedies, a kids' play room, an entertainment zone, a state‑of‑the‑art gym and a swimming pool. For events and social gatherings, the hotel boasts a banquet hall and convention facilities spanning over 9,000 sq. ft., along with meeting rooms and exclusive lawns.
