First Budgetel Opens in Louisiana
NOVEMBER 26, 2007. The grand opening of the first Budgetel hotel occurred on Nov. 7 in Bossier City, Louisiana, a suburb of Shreveport. Among those celebrating the festivities were (left to right): partner's son Rickey Patel; franchisees Rita and Andy Desai; Budgetel Executive Vice President Randy Evanchyk; 9-year old son of the franchisees, Kishan Desai; partners Pina and Mickey Bhakta; and partner Dennis Patel. Also attending the event was Budgetel chairman Mike Patel. The property features 114 rooms.
