This 440-Acre Oasis Resort Invites Families and Friends to Relax and Refresh With Onsite Dining, Championship Golf, Swimming Pools and More Offered Under New Cleanliness and Social Distancing Guidelines
Just in time for summer, The Wigwam is open and welcoming guests back to its 440-acre historic Litchfield Park resort near Phoenix, Arizona. As a commitment to ensure guests' and associates' health and safety, the resort has introduced new cleanliness and social distancing guidelines under The Wigwam Cares Wellness policy. Guests can also expect the resort's new SWAT (Sanitation and Wellness Awareness Team) to be a friendly and helpful resource and provide a peace of mind during their stay. The Wigwam's reopening was enabled by the "Stay Healthy, Return Smarter, Return Safer" Executive Order from the Governor of Arizona and is aligned with Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) guidelines to ensure the safest possible experience. To help plan the next great staycation or road trip adventure, The Wigwam's Summerscapes Package invites guest to enjoy a well-deserved getaway with desired amenities and services.
"We are delighted to welcome guests back to the wonder of the West Valley and for our dedicated team of friendly resort professionals to be able to provide them with relaxing and engaging vacation experiences," said Katy Powers, Managing Director and General Manager of The Wigwam. "The Wigwam's expansive campus and lush landscape provides a high level of privacy, making it effortless for guests to social distance without sacrificing their vacation experience. We look forward to families and friends creating new and lasting memories while ensuring their safety and wellbeing at The Wigwam."
Summer Fun in the Sun
The Wigwam has a wide range of amenities to offer new and returning guests through the summer season ahead. Relaxed dining is accessible indoors and on the patio at Red's Bar & Grill, with a full summer menu available to dine-in as well as to-go. The Wigwam Bar in the resort's main lodge building is serving full menus for three meals a day with late-night cocktails available to brighten evenings, and the resort is looking forward to reopening signature restaurant Litchfield's later in June. All restaurants have been reconfigured to abide by the resort's new social distancing guideline. The Tower Pool Bar & Grill is also now open, along with the Oasis Pool Bar & Grill open on the weekends. Additionally, The Wigwam's three 18-hole championship golf courses, including two designed by legendary golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Sr., are open for play, along with nine tennis courts. All three of the resort's swimming pools have opened with reconfigured poolside lounge chairs for proper social distancing, and the Fitness Center has opened with new restrictions and enhanced cleaning protocols. Guests can also book appointments at Lemond's Aveda Salon - Spa, now completely re-opened for salon & spa treatments, as well as access to the spa amenities and pool.
With COVID-19 still an ongoing health issue across the U.S. and around the world, the resort has adopted The Wigwam Cares Wellness policy to prioritize the health and safety of guests and staff. Details of the policy include following all the guidelines issued by the CDC and AHLA. Guidelines, protocols, and procedures adopted by the resort includes: physical distancing throughout the resort; placement of hand-sanitizer dispensers at key guest and employee entrances; comprehensive training on COVID-19 for all associates; deep cleaning of guest rooms after each use; and temperature checks on each employee prior to the start of individual shifts. The resort has also launched its very own SWAT - Sanitation and Wellness Awareness Team - with members visible throughout all public areas to regularly clean surfaces such as pool chairs, door handles, pool gates and more. The SWAT is on property for two eight-hour shifts each day.
