Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club Completes $5.5 Million Renovation of Britterige Villas
Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club has completed renovations to its collection of 116 one-bedroom Britterige Villas. The $5.5 million overhaul provides travelers with a modern yet casual retreat, infused with elements reflective of the Cape's coastal setting. The 20 Lower Level Britterige Villas were refreshed with a top-to-bottom paint job and enhanced furnishings, while the remaining 96 Britterige Villas, including the signature Britterige Blueberry Pond Villa, received full-scale renovations that touched every corner of the 750 sq. ft. villas, including new carpet, furnishings, kitchenette, décor and fixtures.
"We are thrilled to start the season with the announcement of our Britterige renovations, offering a fresh yet contemporary home away from home," said Robert J. Newman, General Manager. "The Britterige Villas have historically been a popular choice for couples or families of up to four seeking a private home-base on the Cape. The separate living room, patio and central location dotting the Cape Cod Bike and Rail Trail and Blueberry Pond are all attributes that guests have come to love about these villas, and now we're eager to showcase the new look for an elevated experience. The facelift complements the ambiance of the remainder of the property, and we're keen to have travelers revel in the refreshed nature-inspired setting at Britterige."
Linda Snyder Associates, a hospitality interior design group known for their work with various Hilton, Westin and St. Regis hotels, was carefully selected to bring the new Britterige look to life. The eclectic furnishings fuse together a collection of warm tones and textures, blended wood and metal with tactile woven fabrics and rugs. The color palette is representative of driftwood and denim for a rich and immersive Cape getaway. The modernized kitchen encourages gathering around a quartz dining peninsula, offsetting the nostalgia of hurricane lamps, shutter details and Adirondack chairs. The bedroom features a commissioned painting of coastal clamshells with the humorous interruption of a lone golf ball. A grouping of seaside watercolors throughout completes the collective experience of this enticing Cape Cod escape.
Ideal for family vacations or extended stays for couples, the Britterige collection offers private accommodations outfitted with separate bedroom and living areas, full kitchenettes, washer and dryer combinations, and patios or terraces. The kitchenettes include full-sized refrigerators, electric cook-tops, dishwashers and microwaves. Further elevating the villas' exclusive ambiance, this summer, the resort is also debuting a grocery delivery service where guests can pre-order their favorite produce, veggies, snacks and treats to be delivered and individually stocked in the villa upon arrival. Guests staying in the Britterige Villas have access to a plethora of resort amenities, including nine tennis courts, five pools, croquet, standup paddleboarding and kayaking on Blueberry Pond, the 18-hole Nicklaus Design golf course, 26 miles of hiking and biking trails, Beach House Spa, and more.
