The Scarlet Huntington Promotes Klaus Atzmueller to General Manager
Grace International announces the promotion of Klaus Atzmueller to General Manager of The Scarlet Huntington, the crown jewel of San Francisco's iconic Nob Hill neighborhood. Atzmueller has been with the hotel for over 5 years, holding the position of Director of Finance.
As General Manager of The Scarlet Huntington, the jewel of San Francisco's iconic Nob Hill, Atzmueller brings over two decades of accomplishment in the luxury hotel market in San Francisco, California and Europe. Klaus leads our landmark AAA Four-Diamond hotel, restaurant and spa, bringing a uniquely diverse background in hospitality business, operations and finance leadership, and inspiring team members to deliver world class excellence in service while driving financial success.

Klaus joined The Scarlet Huntington from The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where he served as Director of Finance and Accounting at a flagship property. He was previously with leading Hyatt Hotels in San Francisco and San Diego, as well as luxury properties in Europe. Klaus graduated from the Federal Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management in Austria with the certified equivalent of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also successfully completed the elite international professional training program of the Carl Duisberg Centren.
Following a much-anticipated renovation that breathed new life into the iconic red-brick building which has been welcoming new and loyal guests for nearly a century, The Scarlet Huntington was lauded for the third consecutive year (2015, 2016, 2017) as the city's top hotel by readers of Conde Nast Traveler.
