Capella Hotel Group Appoints John Blanco as General Manager of Capella Bangkok

John Blanco has been appointed as the General Manager of Capella Bangkok, which is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2018. Located along the rejuvenated Chao Phraya River waterfront promenade, Capella Bangkok offers 101 rooms, suites and villas with panoramic views of Thailand's revered river.

An American with roots in Venezuela, John is a global citizen who was raised in various cities around the world. His sterling career took him to iconic destinations where inspiring travel experiences are conjured. For the past 25 years, John was single-minded in his pursuit of luxury hospitality with an impressive track record at Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons and many award-winning independent hotels. His global perspective and proficiency in six languages put him in good stead to curate memorable experiences for Capella Bangkok's international clientele.

Tasked with the debut of Capella Hotels and Resorts' first property in Thailand, John will provide strategic guidance to the pre-opening team ensuring operational success and premium positioning of Capella Bangkok.

Poised on the east bank of the River of Kings, Capella Bangkok is an integral part of the prestigious new development, Chao Phraya Estate.
